You probably haven’t had a chance to see this yet, but MPP has published a summary of our 2012 strategic plan here.
This is an ambitious and bold plan that will cost $4,300,000 this year. (By way of comparison, we raised $2,800,000 last year.)
If you like what you see, please donate today, because we won’t be able to accomplish some of the projects unless we receive substantial funding during the first quarter of this year.
Here are the highlights …
- Pass the ballot initiative to regulate marijuana like alcohol in Colorado. If a majority of Colorado voters passes this initiative on November 6, Colorado will have the best marijuana law in the world.
- Collect signatures in Arkansas and North Dakota so that the voters in these two states can pass medical-marijuana ballot initiatives on November 6.
- Legalize medical marijuana in Illinois, Maryland, and New Hampshire by lobbying these three states’ legislatures and governors.
- Decriminalize the possession of marijuana in Rhode Island and Vermont by lobbying both states’ legislatures and governors.
- Implement the new medical-marijuana laws in Arizona, Delaware, Rhode Island, Vermont, and D.C.
- Increase the number of U.S. House members cosponsoring H.R. 2306, the first-ever bill in Congress that would allow states to determine their own marijuana policies without federal interference.
